When Juliana Canfield is not making her craft on stage, she may be working in bed.
The winning actor appointed by Tony, who played Kendall Roy Jess Assistant in “Success” and Holly in the music of Broadway “Stereophonic”, has received knitting.
“I started about three weeks ago, so I have room to grow up,” Thespiani Alexa told the Lafayette 148 presentation in Chelsea on Friday. “I’m not making a scarf because I think that’s the type of danger zone for a new knitting. You just make this pointless scarf you’ll never wear that it’s bad. I started with a hot pink balaclava, a snood with hood. In fact she worked well enough and I’m very proud of her.”
Canfield admired the art of the brand autumn collection, called “Stories Woven”. “Textured with textured and clumsy and very dressed,” she said. “I want everything.”
Creator director Emily Smith hosted the feast of soft cocktails, greeting fans like Rachel Hall, Beanie Feldstein, Ebony Obsidian and Patina Miller, and explaining the inspiration for this line. “Commitment to crafts is really important to us as a brand,” she told Alexa. “I have a deep passion for fabrics. It has always been my starting point for everything: just leaving the fabric telling you what you want to be, and respect it.
“We’ve always worked with Italian mills,” added Smith, who gave props to her team inside the home of textile designers and female experts in New York Atelier of the company. “Over the last five years we have increasingly connected with them to develop and produce our fabrics.”
Autumn line contains custom jacquards, front finishes, exposed stitches, hand -sewn ornaments and dead fabrics with responsibility transformed into new elegant compositions. As always, there are iconic pieces like the perfect trench, an impeccable white shirt, and a softly adapted suit. Season Baganta-a handmade, strict suede and L-Tota wool in black-widening a lot of attention.
Actor Rebecca Hall, who stars in the new biographical drama, “Peter Hujar Day”, said she loves the approximation of the label with the traditions of art. “There is a culture of women who intertwine tapestritis and all of these different influences that I really love. They also make clothes that are luxurious and really difficult and practical for all kinds of different situations.”
As for her needle skills, they are developing. “I can’t knit anything!” She shouted. “I can barely make a hose!”
