This TV was not very smart.
Nowadays with so many accessible transmission services, having to sit through some ads as you look at something is normal. However, many irritated Roku OS users were recently forced to watch ads before they opened the main menu – and they were alive.
Roku customers ran to Reddit to share their disappointments earlier this week when their patience was tested by a series of excess ads playing automatically after the operating system was opened.
At Ar/Roku Subredddi, a user wrote, “Hello! I just sparked my rock and got an incomprehensible ad for a movie before going to the regular Roku screen. Did anyone else experience this?”
This was not clearly a look – because many other people took the yarn to complain.

“I would also have happened today. If I keep my rock equipment they will be in the trash,” one person wrote.
“I just experienced the same thing. Considering my options to throw ship now,” shared another person.
“Yes it started last night for me. Very disappointing and intruders. I can’t imagine it’s enough to make me leave the rock, as I already have three sticks and two rock TVs, but I won’t buy any future rock equipment,” read a comment.
It looks like the rock was in line with the ads that they were people who were forcibly feeding-this time around it was an ad for last year’s “Moana 2” movie.
“It just happened to me for moana. This is absolute waste. If they make me watch an ad to reach my apps to watch TV I am out,” said an angry user.
“Yup. Moana 2 to me. I have been a great rock lawyer but it will end this. I can still use them, but I am done telling everyone in my life to buy one,” Read another frustrated comment.
“Moana ads for me only now when I lit up TV!” wrote another commentator.
In a statement, a Roku representative confirmed that annoying ads were something new that the brand was trying – based on the response from people, we hope they think again.
“Our latest test is just the last example, as we explore new ways to display brands and programming, while still providing a delightful and simple user experience,” the technology company said.
The good news is that there is a narrow button in these ads that will allow you to get out of them when they start, as explained by a rock rap in the post.
This is not the first time clients were angry with rock. In 2024, the brand experienced two online attacks affecting over 500,000 accounts. Fortunately, according to the company hackers did not gain access to any sensitive information.
